Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Fastform (“Fastform,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Fastform is a tool that helps you understand and fill out PDF forms. Questions? Email josh@method-ai.com.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, a securely hashed password, and optionally your name.
• Information you save for autofill. If you choose to build a reusable profile, we store the personal details you add, such as your name, contact details, and address, and, if you enter them, sensitive identifiers like a Social Security number, A-Number, or passport number. Sensitive identifiers are masked in the interface. You decide whether new details are remembered using a memory toggle, and you can edit or clear your profile at any time.
• Profiles for other people (Pro). If you save profiles for people you fill forms for, we store the details you enter for them in the same way. Please only add information you have permission to use.
• Billing information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer ID, your plan, and your subscription status so we know which features your account includes.
• Forms and their contents. The PDFs you upload and the values you type or dictate. We store the original file and your saved values in your account so you can re-open and edit your forms.
• Voice input. If you dictate, your audio is streamed to a speech-to-text provider to transcribe it into text. Sometimes your browser’s built-in speech recognition does this instead, in which case your browser’s provider (for example Google in Chrome or Apple in Safari) processes the audio. We do not keep the raw audio.
• Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address and the short description of how you’d use Fastform that you provide.
• Technical information. Basic server logs and records of feature usage (for example, which AI operation ran and its cost). We design these logs to exclude the personal information from your forms.

How we use information

• To provide and operate the service: reading a form, explaining its fields, and filling them from your inputs and saved profile.
• To maintain your account and your saved forms, and to manage your subscription.
• To secure the service, enforce usage limits, and prevent abuse.
• To respond to you and support your requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How your forms are processed

To turn a PDF’s fields into plain-language questions and to fill them in, we send the form’s text, images of its pages, and the answers you provide to our AI provider, Anthropic. If you use voice, your audio is sent to our speech-to-text provider. We rely on these providers’ commitments not to use data submitted through their APIs to train their models.

Service providers

We share information only with vendors that process it on our behalf to run the service:

• Anthropic: AI that reads and helps fill forms.
• Deepgram: speech-to-text for dictation (we may use other speech providers).
• Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing.
• Neon: database hosting.
• Vercel: application hosting and file storage.

How we store and protect your information

Passwords are stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text. Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), access is restricted to your account, and sensitive identifiers are masked in the interface. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account, profile, and saved forms until you delete them or ask us to. You can delete saved forms and clear your profile in the app at any time, and you can delete your whole account from the account panel. Deleting your account removes your forms, profiles and saved files, and cancels any subscription. Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, or delete the information in your profile and forms, turn the memory feature off, and ask to be removed from the waitlist. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us at josh@method-ai.com to exercise them.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages to process payments and prevent fraud. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children

Fastform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
